Govt approves fresh capital for Export Credit Guarantee Corporation

Aiming to enhance insurance coverage to MSME exports and strengthen India’s exports the Cabinet approves capital infusion in Export Credit Guarantee Corporation Ltd.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the capital infusion of Rs 2000 crore for strengthening of Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC). The amount would be infused in the three financial years i.e. Rs.50 crore in 2017-18, Rs.1450 crore in the year 2018-19 and Rs.500 crore for 2019-20.

India ranks 35 in the global real estate transparency Index

India currently ranked 35 in the global estate transparency index, driven by policy reforms and liberalization of FDI rules in property as well as retail sectors.
According to a survey conducted by realty consultant JLL, India has improved its ranking by one notch to 35th in the global real estate transparency index. India was ranked 36th in the index during the last bi-annual survey conducted in 2016 and 40th in 2014. The country’s real estate market is currently placed in the ‘semi-transparent’ zone.

Govt approves Home Ministers Special operation medal for police

Union Home Ministry has instituted new medals in the special operations category for meritorious officers in police, security and intelligence services.
The medals are meant for special operations, Intelligence category and will be awarded on Independence Day and Republic Day annually.
According to a statement from Ministry of Home Affairs, ‘Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the institution of “Home Minister’s Special Operation Medal”. Police Officers of States & Union Territories, Central Police Organisations (CPOs), Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Security Organisation involved in Special Operations will be eligible. The Union Home Minister has also instituted three more Medals, — the Antarik Suraksha Medal, Asadharan Aashuchan Padak, and Utkrisht & Ati-Utkrisht Seva Medal. The Medals will be awarded annually; while the HM’s Special Operation Medal and Asadharan Aashuchan Padak will be awarded on 15th August coinciding with the Independence Day, the Antarik Suraksha Medal and Utkrisht & Ati-Utkrisht Seva Medal will be announced on 26th January to mark the Republic Day’.
The Asadharan Aashuchan Padak will be given to officials of Intelligence organization of Central and State Governments, Assam Riffles, and NSG.
The Antarik Suraksha Medal will be bestowed upon Police personnel of States and central police forces engaged in the operation duty rendered by them for a tenure of every two years in Internal Security in Jammu & Kashmir State, Maoist affected areas the North Eastern States.
