ICC World Cup Records

India is currently ranked third on the world cup points table, behind New Zealand and Australia who have played more matches than India.

India’s Rohit Sharma, who was ranked fifth on the list of highest run scorers in the ICC World Cup 2019, has gone down in the list after his one run dismissal against Afghanistan on June 22. The list is topped by Australia’s David Warner who has made 447 runs followed by Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan who has made 425 runs so far.

England’s Jofra Archer and Australia’s Mitchell Starc top the list of highest wicket takers with 15 wickets each, followed by New Zealand’s Lockie Ferguson with 14 wickets.

MEA rejects U.S. report

Ministry of External Affairs said ‘A foreign govt. has no locus standi to pronounce on the rights of our citizens’.

Foreign governments do not have the right to criticize India’s vibrant democracy and dedication to the rule of law, said the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Sunday, after the U.S. State Department’s annual report on religious freedom, pointed out India’s failure to protect minority communities.

Saudi launches residency scheme

Saudi Arabia launched a new special residency scheme aimed at luring wealthy expats as the petro­state seeks to boost non-­oil revenue. The scheme will allow expats to do business without a Saudi sponsor, buy property and sponsor visas for relatives.
