The President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena issued orders for the Law Granting Security Forces Emergency Powers to extended another one month.

Indian Women Hockey Team secure Olympic qualifiers.

Indian Women Hockey Team secured their place in the final round of Tokyo Olympic qualifiers by beating Chile 4-2 in the semifinals of the Women’s FIH Series Finals hockey tournament.

Indian Women Team 3rd in Asian Rugby.

The Indian Women’s Rugby Team claimed a historic international Rugby 15s victory with 21-19 win over Singapore to finish third in the Asia Women’s – Division 1 Rugby XVs Championship. The tournament was one of the qualifying rounds for the 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup to be held in New Zealand.

Advani wins Asian Snooker Championship.

Pankaj Advani won the 35th Men’s Asian Snooker Championship to complete a career grand slam in cue sports. With his triumph here, Advani conquered the ACBS Asian Snooker events – 6 – Red (short format) and 15 – Red (long format) – along with IBSF World Championships in both formats too. Only one to win Asian World tournaments in all formats.
